Philip began his legal and patent career in private practice in Los Angeles, California, before he joined DuPont China in Shanghai in August, 2006. He is now Assistant Chief IP Counsel for DuPont in Asia Pacific.

In his role, Philip has responsibility for protecting and enforcing DuPont IP on the ground in the Asia Pacific region. He and his patent teams support the R&D Centers in Japan, China and India, by harvesting innovations from the R&D projects, and helping business clients formulate and execute their IP strategies.

Philip received a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from University of California, Irvine, and a J.D. degree from the George Washington University Law School. He is a member of the State Bar of California, and has been registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office since 1991.
