In 2000, Chris Lin and his fellow Stanford alumnus, Lambert Chien, jointly founded the company that launched KKBOX towards the end of 2004, in an attempt to tap into the fast-growing music streaming market.

Currently the CEO of KKBOX, Chris is committed to providing a service for people to easily enjoy music and share their favorite songs with friends anywhere, anytime. With KKBOX delivering amazing results in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, and Thailand as Asia’s leading brand among online music streaming services, Chris continues to lead the management in planning and executing corporate development strategies, product development, and overseas expansion.

Chris received a Master’s degree in Operations Research from Stanford University following a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Boston University.

林冠羣先生是 KKBOX 的共同創辦人,於2000年和當時就讀於史丹佛大學的學弟簡民一先生共同創立公司,並於2004年底正式推出 KKBOX,跨入線上音樂市場。林冠羣在領導 KKBOX 成為台灣線上音樂龍頭後,也持續帶領經營團隊規劃與執行集團發展策略、產品研發以及海外拓展事宜。於2009年開始致力於推動 KKBOX 的國際化,在過去5年內相繼於香港、日本、新加坡、馬來西亞與泰國推出 KKBOX。目前 KKBOX 已是亞洲線上音樂的領導品牌,致力為音樂愛好者創造最豐富精彩的音樂體驗。

林冠羣擁有史丹佛大學 Operations Research(營運研究學系)碩士學位,以及波士頓大學 Manufacturing Engineering(製造工程學系)學士學位。
